" The Screw is one of the Monk's earliest tracks, played live and perfected over many years. A minimalistic beginning with simple bass and vocals invites the listener on a journey both mournful, but captivating, eventually developing into a powerful climactic ending. The track showcases the full breadth of the band's live sound, and is perfect for both large and small, intimate venues alike. After over a decade of experimenting with the song, the band felt it was time to release it to the world. We hope you enjoy."
Wild Tibetan Monks
Wild Tibetan Monks are an alternative indie-rock band from Dublin, Ireland. They initially started in 2011, playing both original and covers around Dublin. After a two-year journey of music and exploration in Western Australia, where they wrote, toured and recorded their original songs, the band returned home to Ireland, concentrating on their own sound in 2021.
Now, after a brief hiatus, they’re back with fresh energy and new music. Their latest single, “The Screw”, marks the return and shows the band at their most focused, built from everything they learned on the road. Wild Tibetan Monks are now recording and releasing more original material, with more to come.
